Tourism can certainly be damaging to both culture, community and the natural world, but we aim to do things differently so that travellers create minimal impact and in fact have a POSITIVE impact on the environment and local communities.

Taswira Africa Safaris are a fully licensed, boutique safari company based in Arusha, in the heart of Northern Tanzania's most iconic wildlife areas including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. We specialise in tailor-made journeys, crafted around who you are, how you like to travel, and what you want to experience.
The company was founded by Caroline and George, who together lead a small, experienced team. Caroline, originally from Australia and the UK, lived in Tanzania for over 13 years and now oversees operations from the UK. George built his career as a professional safari guide and knows Tanzania's wilderness intimately, from its great migrations to its quietest corners. Between them, they bring a depth of local knowledge, personal connection to the country, and a shared commitment to getting every detail right.
Every lodge and tented camp we recommend has been personally visited. Every vehicle is a fully maintained 4WD with a pop-up roof for exceptional wildlife viewing. Every guide travels with you from start to finish, providing continuity and a genuine connection throughout your journey. And our team is available around the clock while you are away, so nothing is ever left to chance.

Our Guides
Your guide is an essential part of what makes your trip a success. Taswira Africa Safaris works only with the most professional and qualified tour guides, who all have a minimum of ten years working experience. We provide continuous in-house and external training (including Wilderness First Aid) to ensure our guides have the best client care and knowledge. Taswira Africa compensates our team with a generous wage (often double that of our competitors), in line with what we feel is fair for the work that they do and reducing the pressure on clients to pay tips, which is often the only money a guide will take home.
Our guides will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, safe and happy for the entire trip. It’s the little extras that make your trip extra special; marking a birthday, remembering your favourite drink to have on board for bush lunches, taking you to a special shop for the carvings you wanted, sourcing a charger that you forgot, organising data so that you can call home or arranging a doctor’s visit if you feel under the weather. Our guides are SO much more than just safari guides, they take care of every detail to ensure you feel relaxed and worry-free to enjoy your safari.
